I have recently installed the two rmm and pmm by JBR each one is 70 duro and upon initial start up and drive I was not expecting the amount of vibrations that were there. Iread that there were vibrations, but I still wasn't expecting this much. I hope that they do lessen over time. The entire top dash buzzes and vibrates on acceleration from stop or if I'm cruising lightly on the throttle between 1000 and 1500 rpms. Has anyone else had a rmm and pmm installed and have been surprised by the amount of vibrations ?

I've heard the same thing... getting mine soon too so I will know what it's like first hand. Everyone says the vibes die down a lot after the break in period but they are quiet fierce during the beginning.

i have the rmm in my 3 now and i had all 3 mounts in my last car, and i loved it, the vibes were awesome. it was only at its worst when cold or at idle otherwise what a difference when driving, i plan to do the pmm and dmm in my 3 as well. but yes the mounts will wear in over time. make sure to retorque them from time to time. but yea i mean what did you think you put solid more mounts in a car that replace the cushy oil filled mounts. so where before the vibes were more absorbed by the mount now its not so much the case as the vibes will go through the body. the rmm sure it wont be as bad the the top pmm or dmm or both just kick the vibes into high gear. even when the mounts are worn in they will still vibe heavy.

Yeah I expected vibes, but for a 70 duro mount the vibez felt more like an 80 or 88 duro. I guess its cause they aren't broken in, how many kms till they are broken in? I do love how the car sounds and drive now though, big improvment in shifting especially when combined with the solid shifter bushings. As pwdunmore put it, at this point they vibes are definetly fierce. - had to remove my csx air freshener from the top of the dash and empty the coins in the ashtray cause they were vibrating constantly. I think installing both brand new at the same time contributed to the amount of vibes as well. I will post updates as it lessens.

i installed my rmm in the fall and it was bad in the winter, but dont notice it so much now or im used to it, but the one we installed in my gfs car is still pretty rough, and its been over almost 2 months. but it will lessen over time, same with the 80 or 88s would.

how the hell do you know what a 80 duro or 88 duro feels like if you didn't even know what a 70 duro feels like?

I have 88 80 80 (rmm pmm tmm) and the vibes aren't that bad.. I got used to them TBH. I was kind of dreading the transmission whine but I love it. I will say, though, it isn't for those who drive their cars for comfort. I love the feel but if you're looking for luxury this isn't where you'll find it but I'm sure you knew that going into it.
It will get better after 1K and youll get used to it, but your passengers never will.

Is she running the 75A CPe as well? How many kms' has she put on it thus far?
I had the 65A CPe and the vibes got better on a *daily* basis! There was a major difference even after a week. I read other members saying the 75A requires 2000 to 3000 km's

I've rode in other cars with higher durometer mounts than 70 before, mind you the mounts were probably broken in

I will update if it lessens, the fact that this post is getting replies means there are members who care to know. Not to mention, some people would like information on how the JBR mounts are specifically.
I've read that thread before, and I'm not complaining about vibes. I don't mind them, my point was I just felt it was more than I was expecting initially. Only time will tell, but I'm sure they'll probably end up being reasonable amount given that they are 70 duro mounts

thing about being a passenger and driving the car, is that the pedals vibrate, the steering wheel vibrates, the shifter vibrates, so you feel it more driving the car IMO

I have all three JBR motor mounts in my car for sometime now. The vibes lessened a bit but not by much & are still very noticeable & so is the cabin noise (OMG the noise!), those two things will never go away. It's a trade off that one must be willing to make for a car that feels more connected to the road. I've just learned to accept it...... That is all.
