Happy experience, no complaints.

Used their online form to schedule my 8,000km maintainance, recieved an email a few hours later confirming my slot was booked for the time I requested.

Showed up 10 minutes~ early, information was taken down, and I handed off the keys. Guy at the counter said it would be about an hour.

So off I go to the McDonalds down the street for some early lunch.

Saunter back 15 minutes before the hour and relax in the nicely air conditioned waiting area, adjacent to the main showroom floor.

About 1h15m after first dropping off the keys, I pay the bill and drive off.

No hassle no problems

Also asked the counter guy if his technicians have any problems with light modding (SRI etc) he said it shouldn't be a problem.

Recommend if you live close to try these guys out for service... Living 5km away I will definately be back

I just got my new car from there this week. Not the first time buying a Mazda. It was a great purchase experience, had test driven twice, the paperwork was a breeze and all done online with scanned documents and e-mail, no bullshit on the pricing offered so no hassle with negotiations. Absolutely no pressure, no bad-mouthing other brands which I hate when salesmen do that.

Couldn't agree more. I have been a Westowne customer for 5 years now and just bought my first speed 3 there last September. Always stellar service and friendly faces. Moreover when they say it will be an hour, it will in fact be an hour which is so great so you can schedule the rest of your day when visiting for service.

They had no problem throwing my cold air intake on. One mechanic sorta leaned into me about it as it may cause issues with my warranty but Dominic quickly came in to say, do not worry about it we will take care of you if something happens.

Can't say enough good stuff about westowne. They actually just emailed me last week looking for updated pictures of my car for their website!

So putting an SRI on won't void the warranty? Or just not if you go through WestTowne? I've been considering one, but now am hesitant.

If you're nervous or concerned, it may be better to wait. I know the owners at Westowne really well and they have given me the "if something happens, we will put your stock air box back in before any inspections are done when the warranty is in question" This install does not void the full warranty of the car, only whats associated with the intake itself.
I put the cold air intake on mine and as you know the filter sits just inside the drivers side wheel well. I was concerned about hydro locking and voiding my warranty so I decided to install the by pass valve to save me from Hydro locking.

I have heard plenty of stories of some dealerships will warranty it and some wont. It may be best to simply speak with whomever does your install.

Just came back from putting the winter tires on at westowne. When I mentioned I was involved in the TM3 car club they gave me 10% off. Just wanted to pass that on. If you use westowne, make sure you tell them you're in a car club.

Well just had another sevice done at Westowne, can't say it is as positive as my first experience.

Service itself was as quoted for time so no issues there, however are little things like a wash and fluid top up no longer part of customer service?

Car went in dirty, and came out even dirtier (service guy took it through the biggest dirtiest puddle he could find I guess)... I would have expected at least a quick hose wash. And would have expected to have a wash at least suggested.

The other thing was asking for $3.99 to top up my washer fluid... Even a Quik Lube will top up all your fluids as part of the service.

I suppose in the end it came out as expected, but when you're paying $400+ for service....

Sappo, I have to admit, I am the biggest fan of Westowne Mazda. However, I strongly agree with your comment on the car wash. I think Westowne is the only dealership that I can think of that does NOT provide that service and it is frustrating. Especially when you have spent time cleaning your car and you get it back with finger prints all over the rims and such.

I wonder if your washer fluid was completely empty and they offered to put in a new jug for you? Or it may have just been the tech you had? I have always had my fluids topped up when at Westowne. That sounds odd.

Also, did you see the TM3 "Zoom Zoom" runway photo in their display case? haha

Wife just went to Westowne as she does her servicing on the car there. I can't speak for the washes (always told the wife to say no), they do charge for a washer refill.

Service has been great regardless.

I took my car here for the 24Km service. I noticed the zoom zoom TM3 pic in the display case, and it reminded me to ask for the 10% discount!

They charged me 2.99 for washer fluid top-up, but they left half a jug of fluid in my car, so I don't know if they were just rushing, or that is standard.

They also lubed my gas filler door hinge, and forgot to close it. I was lucky i noticed when I stopped at a mall. They did not wash/hose down my car.

All in all, it was an OK experience (aside from paying an arm and a leg). I found the staff to be quite customer friendly. (I ahd a bunch of questions to ask)

I honestly think at Westowne they do try to give the customer the best experience possible. I truly believe the family run business puts the customer first. At the end of the day, we are all human and we all make our mistakes. I am just happy that I do not read the horror stories in this thread that I see at the other Mazda dealerships in the GTA. I started with Westowne when I lived on the lakeshore. Now I am up at Sheppard and Allen but I still make the drive to Westowne when I need service.

We purchased a second TM3 poster and donated it to Westowne as a thanks for doing a bunch of work at no cost for us. We forgot to frame it for them eek.

Is that a speed pacman?

Yeah, if the worst thing I can say is 'I didnt get a wash and free fluid top-up' it can't be all that bad right?

And I did notice the TM3 picture, as usual I totally forgot to ask about the discount *doh*... that sure would have made the service bill a lot easier on the eyes

Does anybody know if westowne is okay with aftermarket springs? I know they are okay with an intake but never asked about other mods

I'm sure it's fine, they tend to be attentive in a positive way.

Agree with Mr Wilson. I have a few mods and they do not seem to mind at all. They are just happy to get your business.
