Question: Is there any way to trigger angel eyes to disable when lowbeams are on? (or turn on angel eyes when DRL's are supposed to be on)

I don't want my angel eyes to be running all the time, just strictly as DRLs.

Perhaps a relay triggered by the DRL spot in the fuse box which would activate the 12V needed for the AE's? I've read that anything plugged into the DRL slot will be on all the time though. =/

And before anyone suggests it, i do NOT want manual control over the AE's.:rolleyes

btw this is an '08 with auto headlights

The way you suggest...you want it to be "auto"....would mean a wiring job to mod it...I'm sure is a way and maybe McGuyver could advise you on this...hope your not afraid to tamper with your wiring and solder/but connect etc....cuz that's what it would involve. Seems to me you would need to "tap" into the circuit that deals with DRL's...but where that is exactly (engine bay fuse box or interior fuse box) is a good question

I figured some wire taping would be expected. I looked around and most people say "don't tap into the DRL fuse location" because it's an "always-on" signal?

Why don't you just wire your Angel Eyes to a switch and make life super easy. Then you can turn them on and off whenever you wish.

Super easy would be to have the auto-headlights control it ;)

No, that requires more work. And research.

Thinking of tapping the parking light fuse box location as a trigger of an always closed relay, my parking lights are on only when lowbeams are on.

Will report back.

Piece of cake. Used a 5pin relay.

From the PJB, I tapped the ignition fuse signal to 30 on the relay, 87A on the relay to the power inverters for the halos. Parking light fuse signal to 85 on the relay, 86 to gnd.

The relay is numbered.

He's done the hard part, all you'd have to do is follow the instructions.
