Hey all,

Today I rubbed (more like skinned) my tires. Wondering how much damage I have done? Is there a need to be concerned?

I'm lowered on 18" + prokits and my trunk was loaded with a lot of heavy gear. I bottomed out a couple of times when I hit potholes/dips in the road because of the area I was driving in. Thought it was weights clanking against the trunk. :( sigh. what a crappy day!

thanks guys,

my only concern if I roll the fenders is i'll trap moisture / dirt and it'll have the potential to accelerate any rusting in that area.

The only slightly concerning damage is the one tread chunk that looks like it might be cut fairly deep. Probably not really an issue though.

Before you roll the fenders, shoot the inside with rubberized asphalt undercoating, let it dry, then roll. Keeps everything sealed up and you shouldn't have to worry about rust issues.

He did mine and did a great job. Plus it's more expensive to rent a roller then to get him to do them.
