Hi,

Decided it would be time to install some fog lights to my 2010 Mazda 3 "i" model sedan. I went to my local dealer and he quoted me almost $500 for the fog light kit and $125 for the install. I know I can do better then that...any suggestions?

Which website do you folks use to order genuine mazda parts for a reasonable price? I may try to install it myself but will probably have them installed with a HID kit because I fail at mods!!

Thanks

I don't think the MS3 fogs would fit though... Somebody correct me if I'm wrong...

Are you local? If you are, Nextmod will be able to hook you up I'm sure. You can probably get it for less than $500, as for installation, you can do better ofcourse. :)

Hey thanks for the quick reply. What do you mean Mazda fogs wont fit my Mazda 3? I am in Brampton and will see if nextmod has the fog light kit.

No, I meant the MS3 fogs. MS3 = Mazdaspeed 3.

As far as I know, they have different housing compared to regular 3. It's you thread title I guess. One would think that you're looking for Mazdaspeed 3 fogs.

Ahh shoot... I don't know why I put MS3 in lol, sorry for the confusion.

I need fog light kit for a 2010 mazda 3 sedan that won't cost me half a grand lol. I just checked nextmod website and couldn't find it there but I will call them aswell.

Good deal. If not Nextmod, try Garage16. :thumbsup

You need to find out if your car was manufactured before november of 2009 or after then order from FlipDady (joe) as he has much more affordable rates than what I did mine for $400+
And struggles of going to the dealership back and forth for misc parts that will run you more than a package.

I can help you install the fogs as I did them myself. But do yourself a favor and get them from joe as it includes everything and much more affordable.

Okay, I will try garage16 and also call MOT to see what price they can give me. I am at work right now but when I get a chance I will find out when my car was manufactured.

And as far as the installation goes I kinda want to try it myself before I ask for help.:)

Thanks for the suggestions!

You can check my thread also. There's 2.3L version and 2.5L.. The one I have is the 2.5 version.

I installed mine and bought the entire kit including the 2 black foglight bezels (a must), the fog lights itself, the wiring harness and the replacement column stalk all for $370 taxes included from Joe (Flipdady) and are guaranteed OEM parts. You can't beat this as it even comes with the instructions and all plug and play.

The parts I paid for at the dealership : stalk + harness = $220

Also please remember that price of HID isn't included ;)

The mazda I have is 2.0L and to confirm the price you paid for the kit is $220 and the other person paid $370 from MOT?

$370 is still alot cheaper then what my dealer wanted to sell them for...

Yes mine is 2.0L as well but my bezels take the 2.5L of the fog light lenses. Please note that 2.3L is the circle fogs.

$220 was only the turning stalk and the wiring harness. It was an extra $220 to get the 2 foglight housings (not even oem but the same thing just different company) so total was $420.

Okay, I am looking to get the rectangular ones and not really interested in the circle type.

$420 is still higher then I would like to pay but if that ends up being my last option the I will.

It's OEM that's why it's pricier. But ofcourse, it's better quality than anything else. Those are pretty much your options.

I was looking on a different website and came across this site that sells the kit for about $250 + $50 for the stalk. I am guessing shipping will be about $30 to $50 bucks which totals around $350 which is not to bad.

Oh and I will make sure to double check my date of manufacture.

Since I plan to do this as well...this is what I've got so far...OEM fog kit will cost around $340 (before tax). Jimmy said he will charge about $130 for the installation, but I've heard that there are other places that "might" be able to do it for less.
Joe will ask you for the VIN so he can determine which kit is needed so your price may vary.

Okay thanks, i will try a bit longer online to see if I can get a better deal and if not MOT it is!!

i ordered my fog lights from tasca automotive corp. they are oem fog lights. and ull also need to buy a new head light switch with the auto function with new fog light switch, i think i spent 260 for the fog lights and 60 for switch. install for the fog lights are shit simple. drop the bumper a few screws holding the plastic pieces on and then just throw the lights on and screw them in and attach the wiring to the already installed wiring assembly. very easy. and then hids are simple too especially when the bumper is off. the hardest part is making sure the ballasts are mounted in a way that the bumper still can be installed properly.

also it is very important with the 2010 models to find out the proper part numbers for your fog lights. because there are 2 different kits if ur car was made before or after nov of 09. i suggest emailing a local dealer giving them your vin and asking what part numbers u need for your car for the switch and fog lights
