Just wanted to post a thumbs up for Marco and the gang at Maple Mazda.
Thanks to this forum, Maple Mazda was on the short list after some prior poor experiences elsewhere.
When I was ready to buy, I had put out feelers to a few dealers, and Marco was quick to reply (even while on vacation). I emailed him what I wanted; he emailed me back right away. I quickly followed up with some questions and confirmations and we worked from there. The "internet dealer" approach has its advatanges as one gets to the no-nonsense point much faster, and its all in writing, with time to think it over.
Marco arranged for others at the dealership to work me while he was away. When the family and I arrived to seal the deal, we got a great first impression of the dealership. Large bright welcoming showroom, everyone with a smile and eager to please. Very condusive to doing business. All the paperwork was ready just as we had discussed. Rob got it all processed (and walked us around to the lot to confrim colour choices) and then we worked on the credit app with Bill (real easy to deal with).
Had a few more email exchanges, and finally met up with Marco when we picked the car. He was great to deal with and spent a lot of time going though the deal and more time on the car itself.
We did have some minor hiccups (points of confusion) along the way which I mainly attribute to the deal being written up by others during his absense. Some things get lost in translation! But it all got sorted out and we left with a positive feeling about the car, the deal, the dealership and Marco.
We intend to get it serviced at Maple Mazda as well.
