Got my 18k/second Servicing done at Moffatt's Northwood Mazda in Barrie. Oil change and Tire rotation. Good quick service no problems. Talked about my plans for modifications and warrenty etc. Says they will be mod friendly and not to worry about it (Y).

Overall good experience, going to go back for my Mazda servicing until my warrenty is up :P

Bit of an old thread but I'm gonna bump it because it's a pretty general service review thread for Moffatt's. I had another great service today. Full pads and rotors for both front and rear brakes as well as a rear shock. Kevin was helpful and friendly as usual and was prompt on calling me when the service was done. A big thanks to Kevin and the guys at Moffatt's on another service well done!

Glad to hear positive things about the service department here as this will be my primary location for service. I just picked up my first Mazda this week so will need my first service in a few months. Anything I should be on the look out for dealing with the dealership? I've had the privilege of getting previous cars fixed by my uncle that has his own shop but he does not really touch Mazda for most things so I figure I should build a relationship with the dealer especially while under warranty.

I could go on for a day about why I don't go to this dealer.

Where do you go? Why do you avoid it?

Many instances of stupidity on the service departments end, personally and from friends and family. I don't want to name any specifics on here because some of them still go to the dealer and the service manager checks these boards I believe. The people I know have gone as far as Orangeville because of dealer experiences. Motion Mazda customer service is top notch! They are also a corksport dealer.

Do you go for regular service?

At Moffats? Not a chance. I do any major servicing at the dealer.

Where do you go for your oil changes etc?

Usually just pop into oil changers. They are super quick and reasonably priced for just a quick oil change. Never had a problem with them yet.

Time to bump this up again - had another awesome experience at Moffatt's last week! Jason went above and beyond his usual stellar service this time and got me hooked up with everything I needed and more. They had even sent me a coupon in the mail for my 160k service. It was just a quick oil change but for $59 for synthetic I was very happy with both the service and price!

Maybe it pays off to go to the same gym as your service manager! :chuckle

This is really strange to hear. I have been going to MOFFATT's since I bought my 2006 mazda 3 GT Winning Blue. I have never had any issues with them. I have gotten to know the service team and the sales team. I have purchased 3 Mazda's from them and they have never done any disservice. They have always gone the extra mile in my opinion.

This post does not hold valid IMHO. Just my 2 cents. I would challenge you to go back and see if it still holds true.

Well it has been a while since I have been on here. Time to update my profile.

I just had my 2015 Mazda 3 GT and 2008 Mazda 5 GT in for an oil change. I have no complaints about the service team or technicians. Seeing that my regular technician left, I cannot say that the quality of the work has diminished. On occasion they brought me in to see my car and what the recommendation of the fix should be, which I miss.

The Moffatt family and their team has always treated us well. There are some new additions to the team over the years. We stick to the favorites as much as possible.

They have definitely made us Mazda lifers for sure.
