Ok so i got a dead PS3, a 2007 60GB that died (YLOD) in april and I got it fixed last weekend but it still doesnt work properly. It turns on but nothing comes up on the screen and the controller doesn't link up with the PS3 anymore. I tried all methods that I can find on the internet. I am using a surge protector as well.
Basically this is what it'll come with:
1 60GB PS3 w/ a brand new BluRay Laser
1 Six Axis Controller (Not Dualshock)
1 USB Controller Cable
1 Power Cord
16 Games:
- MLB 12 The Show (Online Pass Code has not been used)
- NHL 10, 11, 12
- Battlefield 3
- Grand Theft Auto IV
- NFS Shift, ProStreet
- Dirt 2
- Fallout 3, New Vegas
- Midnight Club L.A.
- Gran Turismo 5 and Skyrim (I may consider keeping these games)
- L.A. Noire
- Grid
How much do you think I can get for all this? MLB The Show is brand new so I would like at least $40 for that. The PS3 has a lot of good parts in it. The power supply is strong and since the BluRay drive has a new laser that should be worth at least $100 for that part alone. Only thing wrong with the PS3 is the motherboard I think.
I'm going to guess around $160 for this whole thing. Does that seem like a fair price?

Even if you sold each game you have for 20 bucks, you'd have $240.00 worth of games to sell. The playstation doesn't work, so you might sell it it to someone who thinks they can refurbish it for themselves or resell it, but I doubt you'll get more than $100...for the unit I'd settle in the 50-100 dollar range. Post it with all the games for $350 and see what people haggle for...don't let the package go for less than 3 bills IMO.

Wow, way better than i expected! would definitely get me enough to get a new ps3! Any known sites where I can try to sell this other than Kijiji and ebay?

Well the games are where most of your money is at. You could even try trading them in for store credit at EB games and getting a used/warrantied ps3 for like $200 bucks..and you could keep Skyrim and GT if you wanted in that case. That's probably your best bet on the games, the ps3 just post on kijiji, craigslist, ebay for 99.99 and see if anyone wants it.

I was thinking of selling the games in packages because there are some games people may not want like the old NHL games. The PS3 I was gonna sell for about $80-$90. I'll be posting the games on TM3 but I don't know if anyone here would want a broken PS3.

If your gonna sell the games seperately...ill take some off your hands as i see some that interest me..
Might as well post all your games here..u will sell quicker than selling as a package

I actually didn't read that the games were different editions, just counted the lines. Selling each game for 20 bucks, with 16 games, you'd be looking at $320.00. If you were to sell as a package, I'd say to advertise it for $430.00 and take no less than 4. If you're going to sell the stuff separately as you mentioned above, I may be interested in the NFS games depending where youre located.

Any game over a year old is worthless. EB will give you 5$ for it. Any game released within the last year you'll get $20 for max. No idea what broken PS3's sell for though
