Hey everybody

I'm wondering what you guys think about these head units

I was at best buy yesterday looking at the kenwood deck when the guy showed me
The new pioneer app radio.* I'm done some research on the two and I was wondering what opinions
You guys have on them.

If you were to get one of the two (or equivalent priced radio) which would you get

My needs are

iPhone integration(music)
Bluetooth
Maps (both radios can mirror my iPhones maps onto the screen)

In these cases. Both HU are equal

What would you guys do?

I would personnaly go with the DDX419, kenwood got a beautiful interface with easy control and plenty of sound settings to get the perfect sounds. And the only thing that make me dislike the APPRadio is that if your iPhone is for X reason lost, broken, etc. This radio become pretty much useless ... Hope it can helps.

I'd go for appradio, if I wasnt tight on funds that would be the deck of choice. THe only thing is if you switch from iphone to android you need to get a ~$100 dongle. However you could always keep your iphone in the car and tether it via wifi to any new phone you get (my plan should I switch).

But djsebzilla has it right, if something happens to your iphone you potentially lose all your apps and stuff.

I have the DDX-419 and i like it so far, only thing is I am having trouble connecting it via bluetooth to my rooted, custom-rom galaxy captivate. Although its probably my buggy phone thats the problem lol. i need to play around with it more but I like the bass settings, really added extra oumph to my sub :)
