Hi Everyone,
My car is a 2006 Mazda 3 GT Sport (5spd) which has had the following service done since April 2012:
- New Drive Shafts
- Upper and Lower Engine Mounts replaced
- Eibach Prokits installed on stock OEM struts
- New tires installed and replaced a dented rim
- Wheels balanced (by Road Force cert. shop)
- Wheel alignment
Currently I have a "rumbling" vibration through the body of the car when accelerating through gears that I can feel through my pedal and shift knob. It has gotten worse within the past 2-3 weeks and we thought that the lower engine mount replacement would solve the issue however it didn't. It's odd because this wasn't present roughly 3-4 months ago to the point now where it has become a frustrating drive even on the highway in 5th gear. What is odd however is that it is not an "every single time I shift" issue, as there are instances where the car feels fine (eg. making a right turn in 2nd, shift into 3rd) however then getting on the highway to get up to speed it's noticable.
Additionally - the shaking in my steering wheel that I had before this was removed after the drive shafts were replaced.
Also - I've been advised to post that there is a slight whine detected during acceleration and deceleration on the differential.
Really hope some senior forum members can help shed some light on what this may be as I'm puzzled and the only next thing I can think of is to get the transmission assessed although it only has 155,000km on it.
Thanks in advance for any help.
