Today I was in the area and have been thinking about possibly getting a new car with in the next few months so I stopped in to Erin Mills Mazda and looked around the lot at some of the used vehicles to see if they had anything. Then went into the showroom and was greeted by the Assistant Sales Manager. I told him that I was looking at a Brand new Mazda 3 2.5 GT Hatchback with a 6 speed manual transmission. I ended up having to test drive an automatic model because they didnt have any manual ones on the lot which I wasnt a big concern. I test drove the vehicle and liked it very much but didnt really plan on buying the car today.

After we got back from the testdrive we sat down and discuss my possible trade in and crunched some numbers. We discuss payments and everything and then he asked me for my license so he could start the paper work. I told him that i wasnt ready to but today and then he tries to swindle me by offering to keep lowering the payments and then offering me full value for my trade. I do understand that their job is to sell cars and that they will do everything to make u happy.

He asked me why i came there if i didnt plan to buy, he told me that i could have just went on the mazda website.

I knew at this point he was upset that he didnt get the sale he was looking for.

The experience was positive overall but i knew the assistant manager didnt like the fact that i wasnt prepared to buy at this time

I would recommend Erin Mills Mazda overall

That right there would be a reason I don't go back. Not everyone comes in ready to buy, some are still shopping, some test drive and decide its not 100% what they like, or any number of reasons. No one should give a response like that.

So he basically told you that you wasted his time and you reciprocate his petty and entitled attitude by recommending Erin Mills Mazda?

Pushy pushy pushy was my experience there. Would not recommend their sales department but the Parts manager, Manny, is very helpful. I bought elsewhere, Direct Mazda, mostly because of my experience with Erin Mills.

Lol @ OP, the Assistant Sales manager gave you attitude because you are not buying the car on spot and you still recommend the dealership to people after this experience.
You are such a cool guy!

If I'm the saleperson, I would not be happy, but I won't act that on my face in front of the client.

I think he just liked how easy the test drive and stuff was. So if your planning on buying that day it sounds like it may be a good experience from what the OP says

The only negative about the experience at Erin mills mazda was that the assistant sales manager was a bit pushy for a sale, The same thing happened with a different salesman at erin mills last yr when i was looking for a used Mazda 3. If you dont mind dealing with pushy sales people its a good dealership to visit
