So the other day my headlights flickered then eventually turned on fine which is common but usually fine. Started driving and then both headlights died at the same time. I checked the fuse under the glove box and those were fine, the bulbs tested were fine, and even the ballasts were still fine. FOund under the hood the fuse that looks like this

I have no idea if that could be it but I have no idea about that type of fuse about it at all. If that is it as its the last thing I can think of is it a easy fix? Any help would be great, thanks :)

I assume you are running aftermarkets?

Have you checked the wiring harness if you are using one? Make sure the fuse isn't melted. Sometimes it's hard to tell but mine has gone twice.

Have you checked the bulbs? It sounds like it could be a bulb and/or ballast issue also. Hard to say if it's the bulbs and/ore ballasts though since they both went out at once.

Pretty much summed it up..

Most HID problems when its flickering...the harness melted...so check the wires..if the wires arent melted then its your ballast...

Bcuz if its the fuse or the bulbs...it wouldnt flicker it will just not be on..

Well I checked all the bulb and ballasts so that isn't it cause twy dont turn on at all anymore. I'll have to check the wires more carefully now tho thanks. Maybe it could be something with the relay?

It is all hooked up to a relay so the pins dont go into the socket anymore. I also checked all the wires and even the fuse i put a pic of and nothing seems wrong. I am honestly realyl confused and the store that did the wiring is closed on weekeds -.-

Figure out its the actual relay and as I do not know how to change it I will just go back t the place that installed and see. If their is still warranty and get them to replace it.

Check the relay, should be a standard 40A relay from a DRL kit (if you bought a cheap chinese harness) Same thing with my harness happened. it melted the connector and fused the base and the relay togehter.

Im not sure if it is one as I bought it from a shop and they installed it lol. Tho what seemed to actually happen was that they needed to add a ground again from along the wire soemwhere and they worked again lol.
