Has anybody had bugs/spiders in their rear tail lights (the outer ones)? I don't mean the area directly where the bulbs are (ie: turn light) but the other larger sealed area. If so, is there a way to get them out?

Remove tail light, take out all bulbs and shake vigorously until all insects fall out.

Until they fall out of what? Isn't that portion sealed? They aren't in the portion (dome) where the bulb sits but the larger portion.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. There should be at least a little bit of an opening between the cover (the "empty space") and the housing the bulb sits in. It got in there some how, there should be a way to get it out.
The only other option is to pry apart the cover from the housing (you have to heat it up) and then seal it back up once it's clean. It's probably more work and more of a pain than its worth with possible future water leakage.

if its still alive, try parking the rear facing the sun. spiders dont like the heat and light so it might just find its way back out before it dies rom the heat... damn...how did a spider get in there?? you have any water leaks?? u might have to bake and open them... and while your at it maybe do something custom lol. no rice thoug...
I have a dead fly in my tail light..

This.
Yup, I've got one in there.
And this.
Seriously though, insects find their way in to just about anywhere. They're crafty little f*ckers lol
It's more work to get it out than it's worth...

Actually the light in question has 10+ spiders in there, all dead.

Perfect time to hack open the tail light, remove the spiders and retro some LEDs in.

I'd say leave em, maybe others will finally get the idea.
If not, keep em in there and see how many you can collect.

until it spawns 100's of little tiny spiders that find their way throughout the HVAC system and start building nests of their own in the glovebox, seat cushions, and trunk.
Until one day they start an act of anarchy and land on your face while your doing 120lm/h on the highway
