Hi Everyone,

I am shopping around for some Continental DWS 205/50R17 for my Mazda 3 GT. just wondering if $760 tax in is a good deal. I thing this is the best deal but does anyone know of some good places I can call to find a better deal.

Thanks T

There's another thread asking about discount tires, take a look for it

Have you checked our sponsors section?
You should PM or call:
Simply Tire
Gofortires
Tires23
Exclusive Tire
I am probably missing a couple but try these.

Don't know if it's cash price:

Also as mentioned, give the sponsors a call and see what they say.

I got two almost new Contis for 80 bucks mounted, installed the rim/tire combo and balanced myself. Call around places, lol, you can get a better deal than that. Even Mazda doesn't charge that for 4 new tires AND an alignment!

1) Just because you got some random Conti's for 80 bucks doesn't mean that the Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires are not worth more than $80. Continental makes more than 1 type AND SIZE of tire...

2) You "balanced them yourself"? How the ****? Did you stick some pennies on the rim with some duct tape? There are highly calibrated machines to do this properly, why did you choose to do this yourself lol?

3) Tire Rack and Discount Tire Direct sell the tires he wants for just over $700 with shipping. I can guarantee you Mazda would not sell these tires installed, tax in AND an alignment for less than $760.

OP, $760 tax in does appear to be a good deal if you're buying them locally. But you can get them for slightly less (~$50) if you want to order them online.

I have called a few and most places wont touch that price. If you can give me a lead it would be appreciated. Keep in mind this is 205/50/R17 and not the 16" version. Installation, Tire and taxes $760.

$760 with install too? I don't think you'll beat that price.

1) Yes, but I'm just telling him to call around, he might find a better deal on the tires and take them to this guy to get them installed? Maybe a better deal all around? He's asking for opinions...

2) ...Yes, there are, but using those costs money. I got the tires mounted, which is the hardest part, installed the wheels, evened out the air pressure, oh look, my car works again.

3) Call Maple Mazda and ask them...they quoted me like 6 something for tires installed + alignment, and that's not including the "TM3 discount."

LOL so you didn't actually balance them? Of course your car works but I'm sure there's vibrations at certain speeds... It costs like $20-$25 to balance 2 tires, not that big of a deal.

Maple Mazda quoted you like 6 something for an UNKNOWN BRAND of tires plus an alignment. Not 6 something for Continental DWS tires plus alignment. He wants those particular tires, not just any brand.

Had no vibrations after install lol it was my two rears and they're good to date, I've got vibes now but that's front tire related, and as I mentioned, I'll be swapping those soon to fix the issue. I get that he wants a certain brand, but all I was saying is call around to many places. For all he knows there's a collision center in his area with 4 DWS contis basically brand new sitting on a crashed car they'd be willing to sell and install for half this price. This might be the best price he gets, but it might not, that's all I'm saying.
