What are your opinions on a set of rx8 rims on kijiji for $425? Pretty perfect condition, no rubber on them. Should I wait a little longer (assuming as winter draws closer more people sell summers), or is this a solid price?

+1... I just sold a set in near mint condition, with rubber (only had maybe a season worth on them, if that) for $625 with lugs.

Imo that's a good price. However you can find cheaper by stalking and being patient. COuple of weeks/a month ago there were sets with partial to no rubber going for 250-400. 425 is def a very good price.

$400~ is what they are worth in chocolate deluxe condition. But as someone mentioned if you are really patient you can find them for a lot less, but maybe not the same condition (i.e. caramel sundae).

Thanks for the input, really appreciate it! One more question though, I'm on a tightish budget and me buying the rims is based on the assumption that I can shift my old 16 inch 5 spoke alloy rims w/tires (about 90% tread) on kijiji or forums. Is there a market for stock rims/tires or am I delusional? Whats a fair price?
haha no worries, wasnt sure if you'd get references to c.r.e.a.m lol...anyways post them up here and on kijiji. should be able to get $250~ for the tires if they really are like new and $250 for the rims. $400 to $500 tops for the whole thing.
there is a market, people looking to go back to stock and such. separate the rim from the tire if you want to move them faster as 205/55/16 is a very popular size among compact cars and you wont be limited by it being on a 'mazda' rim. not to mention winter is coming soon so you don't want to sit on them for too long.

Clearly, when I say stock I'm talking about MY stock rims, which no one would consider and upgrade.

I think your stock rims would probably make for a good winter rim for someone who runs 18's in the summer, or for speed3 owners to run as a winter rim.
But like z said, you're probably better off separating the tires
