Unfortunately cannot find what I am looking for.

Is there anywhere online showing how to replace the fog lights for a 07-09 GX/GS car - everything is setup already but one of them is broken so I wanted to replace them. Do you need to remove bumper to do it? How long should it take?

Thanks in advance.

20 mins..

are you talking about the bulb or or the foglight housing?

and yes you need to remove the bumper

Foglight housing I guess, the thing that encompasses (and includes?) the bulb. I believe Dan did it in the past without removing the bumper but I can't remember.

doesn't take long.. just undo 8 bolts and the bumper slides down. 5 mins tops..then you can do w/e you want.

So total time for someone knowing what they are doing would be like 30 mins to install lights?

Yeah, I have done it it in 30-40 min. without removing the bumper. Access is a little easier with the bumper off but if you've got ramps and a decent light they are pretty easy to get at from underneath.

matt9, it is probably the 2nd easiest thing to do, right after installing floor mats. I'm sure you can do it, it's just a few bolts and push pins.

I did mine without taking the bumper off and it was fairly easy. Just jacked up the front of the car enough to undo a few clips on the bottom. Enough to get my hands in and took me probably 15 mins.

I haven't looked yet but is the beginning part of this writeup more or less relevant for 07-09 GX/GS fog lights/fog light housing?

Are they screwed in/snapped in etc?

Yes, that how-to covers it very well.

It is quite possible to remove/install the fog lights without peeling back the wheel well liners. I just removed the 3 screws on the corner pieces of the under tray/splash shield and bent them back, as shown in picture #2.

The fog lights slip over 5 or 6 flat mounting pins moulded into the back side of the bumper, around the opening. There is one Philips head screw holding the light in place, top center. You can't see it easily from underneath but there is lots of room to get your hands in there, feel for it and get a screwdriver on it.

so is it possible to change it without removing the bumper? reason is I taped and screwed on my front lip so I dont wanna have to remove it to take the bumper off. I remember someone saying you can do it if you jack up the car.
