My wife and I were due for oil changes and thought we'd give Airport Mazda a try since we're now too far to reasonably make the drive to Oakville for minor service (:(). Airport Mazda's not too far from where I work and I like to try to deal with dealerships who support TM3 (as opposed to Mazda of Brampton, for example).

Upon arrival I noticed a number of modified vehicles (MZ3's and RX-8's) in the parking lot. A good sign. :)

The facility is pretty standard fare for a Mazda dealership. The service area was dotted with a number of nice styles of FAST rims. I met Mark Harris, who was very friendly and is an enthusiast himself, driving a sweet-looking 2nd gen black Speed3 and participating in shows and meets. Our cars were taken in promptly, my wife and I walked over to Woodbine Mall for a rare weekday lunch date, and Mark called to let us know the cars were ready when they were done. Of course they inspected both of our cars as part of the service and had some recommendations for my wife's car (she has much higher mileage than I do), but didn't pressure or exaggerate anything, and Mark reminded me that they're extending a discount on service for TM3 members (I didn't have to ask - a nice touch). A handshake later we were done, and our cars were washed, ready and waiting for us outside.

All in all I know it was just an oil change but I get the impression that Mark and Airport are really interested in getting involved in TM3 and are willing to go the extra mile to earn some cred with the club and grow a relationship. I feel like they haven't been getting much press and I'm not sure why. If you're due for service and are in their area check them out. It's always good to support the dealers who support our community, and to encourage them to continue do so.
