Can Speed3 brakes clear 16 inch rims?

Hey guys,

Has anyone tried to clear 16" rims on their 2004+ Mzadaspeed 3? I know 17" inch rims clear in issue, but rather then me buying and trying different rims, i want to know if anyone is running 16" steelies for winter.

I used 16" steelies during the winter on my 2010 MS3. The clearance was very close, by like a hair. Personally I wouldn't go less then 17". That's just me.

Those 2004 speed3's had such big brakes. The 2005 model was even bigger...

Smallest you can go is 14 but no bigger than that.

I run 16" OEM rims and they clear. Best to deal with a tire/wheel sponsor that knows which rims will clear.
