what's the farthest you guys have driven your mazda3?
i drove from toronto to miami and back with my old 2009 mazda3 gx.
first day i drove 14 hours, until i reached south carolina and overall my mazda performed great.
i was getting great mileage too, because it was all highway.
the only complaint is probably a/c.
we went in late august so it was pretty hot and sometimes the a/c couldn't keep up.

so...how far did you go? what was your experience?

Tremblant and back in a day.

Regarding the A/C, did you have it on recirculate? Also, I find the air gets colder the slower the fan speed, because it has more contact time with cooling radiator/exchanger.

no, i didn't have it on recirculate, for some reason i don't like to use this feature, i always think it's healthier to let the fresh air in, could be my superstition. i usually put a/c on speed level #2.

Drove to Montreal and back in a day to go watch a Canadians vs Leafs game in November! Car was great, I didn't have the a/c on since it was November and cool enough it was not needed.

Had a great time, and haven't had any issues with my MS3

Thunder Bay and back. Took a 9 hour over night stop in Sault st marie then continued on another 9 the next day. This was last year during the end of summer for a wedding so I had some time to rest in between. Was there for about 7 days the another 18 hour trip home :)

LOL damn you must've really taken your time. I get that trip done in 14 hours max.

That's the farthest I've driven with my car, I've done the trip to/from Thunder Bay 3 times now. Did it all in 1 day stopping only once or twice each time.

Driven to the Orlando, Florida area twice. I go non-stop other than for fast food and fuel. My record is just over 19 hours. I don't really speed at all though, especially at night on the interstates.

Drove from toronto to washington D.c to atlantic city to new york and back to toronto. Ran great the whole way. I agree the A/C didn't keep up at times but i do agree the air gets colder when you keep it on two speed.

that was a nice road trip. which route did you take, buffalo, or windsor/detroit ?

where did you stay overnight? when i went to miami, i went through buffalo, pennsylvania, virginia, etc.

we stayed overnight in south carolina. the scenery was nice, but lots of hills, especially when driving through virginia and west virginia. next time i would definitely go windsor/detroit route.

We went over at the peace bridge and through NY, PA, WV, VA, NC, SC, GA TO FLORIDA. Going there we stopped in a small town called Rock Hills in SC. It was nice but a little run down and the hotel we stayed at was really gross but we didn't have a huge selection of hotels to choose from. Coming back we stopped in Wyetheville, WV. this on the other hand was a beautiful stop. it was a little dark to see the beauty but come morning while having my tea what a view of the mountains. Cost to drive to and from Florida cost me around $500.00 all in including all my driving while in Florida. Great place to go but I think next time I would rather go early fall late spring. Not the middle of summer, that was way to hot for me and yes I have the same complaint about the a/c but I just let the car decide what was best as I have the auto climate control and it worked good but not great.
