I have my eye on a pair of tweeters taken out from a Mazda 3 that I would like to put in my car. They are already in the sail panel and it looks I only need to buy the adapter plugs. Does anyone know where to get those from or what part numbers they are?
It looks as though the sail panels and speakers will cost around $50 US. Do you think this is too much?
Thanks in advance.

You will also need a crossover in order to run the tweeters. Imo, the stock tweeters aren't that great. For another ~$10, you can get a pair of Pioneer speakers, that will give you an significant upgrade over stock.

The crossovers, I believe, are built into the Bose tweeters. The seller upgraded to a pair of Polks so maybe that should be an indication of just chillin' and paying to buy my own tweeters and doing the work myself. In that way, I can avoid the shipping costs and all that... plus the money for the plug. I should check the ICE forum a little more. I am sure I will find some info on adding my own tweeters.
Thanks for the input.

Don't waste money on the OEM stock tweeters. They are not that good. You will gain more by just change the front door stock to a pair of good quality 2 way speakers. Of course, if you have the money, get a good component set and put the tweeters in the sail panels.

Thanks. I think I will hold off on the OEM tweeters and put some JBL tweeters in to complement the JBLs I installed in the front last summer.
