After running two 12's in my protege5 for years and two 12's in my car before that I kinda miss that added bass...but I do like my trunk more.

To be honest the stock ms3 sound system is fine but was wondering if adding one of those 10 inch (I think that is the largest) bazooka subs is even worth it....

My buddy had one of the 8inch way back in the day and I didnt like the sound, but they don't take up a lot of space which is great..

Not going down the whole custom sound system set up again.

Any feedback would be lovely. Feel free to troll as well, in fact it is encouraged.

A single bazooka has a very mild bass hit. It does sound good (much like newer high end OEM sound systems) and in a hatch, they are very effective.

IIRC - the 10" powered subs run about $300. Which is basically all you need

The only other thing I would consider (for space saving) are the shallow mount Pioneer subs or a JL stealth box

They sound decent. Definatley get the 10". Not going to overwhelm you, but they provide a good thump.

I've got a 12" shallow mount sub (less than 2" deep) that I don't plan on using. U can haz it 4 cheap if u want.

Thing about going with a sub other than the bazooka is then I will an amp to power it...so I buy anamp next thing I've got two 12s in a massive box :)

Shame I gave away my sound system with my P5. Guy who bought it didn't even know it had a full sound system until I showed him...

Dammit

Underseat mount FTW

My car shakes enough with my cpe mounts, don't need my seat vibrating too

Plus I might like it....wife would be jealous

Years ago I had a bazooka base tube.... I hated it... I replaced it ...

If you've had 2 12's before, then I don't think the Bazooka is for you. I "tried" this out years ago and compared to 1 12" which is what I have now. The Bazooka is like turning bass to +6.

Won't cut it

installed many bazooka tubes, they aren't terrible, 99% of the time they are in a truck where space is limited. I would suggest doing a 10 in a small sealed box and a little amp would be much better. Will still give you loads of room with much better sound quality. The 10" bazooka isn't that small.

If you go to your local futureshop with an install bay they should have one that can be hooked via an fm transmitter and cigarette lighter so you can get an idea of what it would sound like and space wise.

I knew someone that had one of these. They got rid of it and said it seemed like something you would get on sale at Walmart, lol.
