hahah... love it when you see idiots like that get caught :P
Ugh but at the same time, what a pain in the ass following school busses every morning and having to stop every 10 feet for 5 minutes at a time. I can understand how people get frustrated.

Epic fail on his part. Epic win for the kid that got it on video too.

I've seen this kind of thing happen when waiting for my daughter to get dropped off at her stop. Too bad there wasn't a police officer around at the time.
Ummm does anyoen else here feel the obvious thing to think is... WHY and/or HOW did who ever took that video KNOW to take the video at that exact time, and know that was going to happen. And what are the odds or this happened AND a cop being there.... smells fishy.

My guess is that it probably has happened before, Muiltiple times.

I'd rather be frustrated than get pounded with a fine in the mail. I swear school buses have external cameras in case those occurrences do happen, no?
My guess is that it probably has happened before, Muiltiple times.
Yes, hence why the driver 'camera operator' is narrating it whole, "here she comes".
If you read the description it says The driver's sidewalk detours appear to be a daily occurrence.

Video description on Youtube:
Cleveland Metropolitan School District bus driver captured video of a female motorist driving on the sidewalk to avoid stopping for the bus loading and unloading children. The driver was caught on cell phone camera Tuesday morning. Cleveland police released the driver's name late Tuesday afternoon. She is 32-year-old Shena Hardin, of Cleveland. Hardin was not arrested, but cited for not stopping for the school bus. CMSD driver Uriah Herron is credited by supervisors for his quick thinking to nab the driver on camera. The driver's sidewalk detours appear to be a daily occurrence. "We had a very conscientious driver for 30 years. He really cares about his children and he took the extra step that this doesn't happen again," said CMSD Bus Manager Eric Taylor. The incident happened at East 38th Street between Superior and Payne Avenue.
What an incredible idiot that SUV driver is. Kudos to the bus driver for not letting her get away with it.

Had one car pass my school bus at my stop on a daily basis for 2 weeks until the cops decided to chime on. Funny thing was my driver was very quick. 30s MAX stop. If you weren't sitting. She drove anyways. Even if you weren't off or on the bus yet. You had to be quick.
She was a nasty bus driver but also was my neighbor. Nice lady. Just didn't want to inconvenience anyone.
This is for sure one of the I wish the cops were her moments.

The other re-post has brought me to here. I heard a new from radio today morning about this today morning.
The court made a decision that she need to stand in the intersection for 2 days holding the sign saying "Only an idiot drives on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus" or something like that....

She should have had a bigger monetary fine and her license taken away for atleast a year.
But I love the sign punishment. I hope people come out to point and laugh Nelson style. HA-HA!

Dumbass driver.. Her two minutes of extra time is worth more than the safety of the lives of children? I'm happy for the sentence the judge gave her

awesome
"A judge decided that in addition to a suspended license and a $250 fine, the best punishment for 32-year-old Shena Hardin was to order her to stand at an intersection holding a sign reading "Only an idiot drives on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus."
Wish it was more harsh to her punishment..
