Hey guys!

So winter is coming, as I will need to get some winter tires, I am planning to use steel rims for the winter for obvious reasons.
I got my Mazda 3 GX 2012 with basic stock steel rims , 16 in.

So my question is... should I go out and buy ANOTHER set of steel rims and mount the winter tires on them?
or should I invest in a new set of rims (I have always wanted bronze color rim 17 in.) and mount winter tires on my stock 16in steel rims, then save the new 17'' rims for the summer?

I really hope I don't make it sound really confusing =)

Thanks guys in advance.

How is this confusing ?

If you want rims and it won't break your wallet then go out and buy rims...

Use 16 steel rims so that u save a bit of money on the rubber.

If you have enough money for new rims, tires and the additional tires for winter, then go for it.

You have 3 months until snow falls.

Use the 16" that came with the car for new winter tires.

Sell the OEM tires that came with the car if still in good shape.

Use the money towards the new winter tires, 17" bronze summer wheels/tire.
(You will not get much for them but at least you get the summer wheels you want)
