This week I noticed a clunking sound develop from the passenger side wheel. It happens when I'm in "no load/light load" situations, ie light braking, holding speed, etc. When accelerating or braking it stops. The clunking corresponds with the rotation of my wheels, and usually stops at highway speeds (or at least it blends in with my extremely noisy tires).

After talking with another TM3 member about a similar issue he had, I'm assuming this is an axle problem. Anyone else care to chime in?

No I solved the issue. It wasn't the axle or bearing

Well, I was hoping this thread would disappear... but I guess not.
The problem turned out to be really simple. Whenever I had my wheels off last, I guess the front passenger side didn't get torqued down. The lugs were loose and the wheel was flopping around on the studs (this was happening for a full week).

The main reason I noticed was that I bent down to take a look and saw a lug had actually fallen off.

Anytime man u pull ur wheels you have to clean the mounting surfaces.....hub, and the inside if your rim...wire brush, anything for a debris free mounting surface.....its shit like that which gives you improper tourquing and lugs fallin off....
