Been meaning to get around to writing this up but I've been so busy since I bought mine at Whitby.

I realize that dealers and service workers alike monitor these forums and say thank you for the reviews, talk with their customers, etc. So I am hoping that this is read by someone at Ajax, hopefully Mark Safarjalani himself.

Let me start off by saying I am not bad mouthing anyone and that I did not have a bad experience at Ajax Mazda per se. I just didn't have a good one, and he basically pushed me out the door with his "too forward" sales tactics.

I wanted to just let folks know what to expect when meeting with him and maybe if he reads this I can help out a bit?

He took my girlfriend and I out for a test drive and everything was going well. He dropped a couple of cliche one liners on the ride, such as "zoom zoom" which I find tacky and a bit of a turn off. When it came time to talk numbers he seemed a little bit unsure of what he was able to do, which I just chalked up to him being new, because his "office" was just a table and a computer in the middle of the showroom floor. Confidence my friend, I felt uncomfortable talking to someone who seemed unsure about the product.

Lastly, he touched and held my shoulder much too often. Which made me extremely uncomfortable. It wasn't one of those "hey come with me" pats on the shoulder. He put his hand there, looked me in the eye and said "do we have a deal?" This happen about 5 or 6 times. This is what made me leave. He kept mentioning Ajax being better than all the other Mazda dealerships and that going elsewhere would not be in my best interest.

I went straight to Whitby and was very well taken care of. I highly suggest the drive to Whitby and to speak to Nathan Dickson, he will go to bat for you.

Lastly, I can't leave out Maple Mazda. I was there the night I made my deal just before I went back to Whitby and signed. Ian (Sorry I don't remember his last name. I think Flynn?) is a straight up salesman who is patient, kind and honestly cares about people. He was hooking me up with an incredible deal, which I then played back against Whitby and they beat it, so I signed there. He emailed me afterwards saying I seemed out of sorts and that he was here for me if I needed to talk and was ready anytime I wanted to come back and do business.

It was a tough choice between Maple Mazda and Whitby Mazda, but I made my choice and there's no turning back now. I just wanted to get this off my chest because I feel these people need to be noticed for the exceptional level of work they perform on a daily basis for their customers.

Thanks guys, you've embedded Mazda as a top brand in my mind and I'm happy to be part of the family.
