Hey peeps,
I got a 2012 Mazda 3 GT Sedan (Automatic). The car now has 1,400km and I've been noticing a shake on the floor of the car when accelerating (noticeable when the car changes from 1st to 2nd around 30-40 km/hour). Its very evident when im in stop and go traffic.
If I accelerate quickly I don't really feel it so much. I did a Google search and came across a lot of people complaining about this issue but no actual cause. I know its not tire or rim related as I don't have any vibration on the highway (shocking as this is my 2nd Mazda 3) and the previous 2010/2011 had terrible tire vibration because of the crappy Avid S34,'s but this 2012 is actually good.
So anyway's.......ideas? anyone have this issue and found a fix?
I suspect it could be an engine mount because if it was the drive shaft it would shake all the time.
Again, only happens momentary between low speeds while accelerating from a stop.:bang

if it is that new, take it to the dealership... warranty is your friend here

Fluid dirty or level low? Check this first, then take it to the dealer...go with them when they drive it.

Thanks for the suggestion about warranty being my friend, I get it, however, before I have the mechanics tear apart my new car I thought I'd come on here and see if anyone else has ever noticed this issue before I take it in, that's what a forum is all about right?
Cool, anyway, im confident that its the engine shaking as it only happens on a slow/moderate acceleration (when shifting from 1st to 2nd exactly at the 2,000rpm range. If I accelerate to 2,500 as it switches to 2nd you cant feel it.
I can recall a TSB for engine vibration on my 2010, I wonder if the 2012 are having this issue, you'd think all previous TSB's would have been competed on the newest model.

didnt know there was a tsb for engine vibration on the 2010. have to look into that when i get back.. mind you i dont think i would qualify with my Rmm.. but hey.. anyway i would be surprised if there was one for your 2012. take it to the dealer. let them give it the once over for you to make sure its ok. ( and thats some free friendly dealership advice)

Booter22-Hey, thanks for the message. Correction, it was a TSB that Markham Mazda performed on my 2011, not my 2010. :)
I've had good luck with Toronto Mazda, going to take it in this week.

Same issue here with my new 2012 mazda...Less than 4k on it. I have taken it in twice now, first time they balanced tires.....Didn't fix it. Second time they claim they did an alignment. I still feel it.
