Hey guys,
doing a remote starter on my car and looking for the tach wire in the Ecu.
I found a pinout diagram for the 07 Speed, but the pins aren't the same.
I know I can just grab it from the injector but I really rather just have the wire go to the ECU with the neutral safety wire.
Thanks.

Shouldn't there be a wire going to instrument cluster?...That's what I've used when I installed remote starter in my wife's old civic.

Yeah thats normally where I grab it, because the less amount of wires through the firewall the happier I am.
But there is no mention of this anywhere, I think that is might use the Can-Bus or something its not something you can tie directly into without some other interface.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi,
I am looking for ECU pins for road speed (VSS) and tach (rpm) signals in 2.3 litre (L3) engine ECU, 5M/T.
Can you help, please?

What year.
FWIW: VSS can probably be tapped at off of the control cluster (there's a signal for the GPS unit that is/was sold in some markets) and the easiest way to get a tach signal is to tap the wire to one of the injectors.

What year.....
The year is 12/2007.
I just bought the car today so I will look into your suggestions.
I would expect the rpm signal from a crank position sensor or from ignition coils. The injectors do not get a nice steady signal related purely to rpm.
Thanks anyway.

Injector is the correct place to get the tachometer. Oem remote start and tripoint turbo kit both use that. I assume they know what they are doing.

Ya most installed kits I have seen are always off the injector wire.
I bought my wife's Ford Escape used and that's how she is wired up also! Seems to work well
