I have winter tires on rims P195/60/R15 4 tires would these fit my Mazda 3 Sport Skyactive 2012 and be within variance??? would it rub?

My Mazda 3 has all-season P205/55/R16 tires on it now.

Yes they'll fit fine. Your speedo maybe off slightly but aside from that there shouldn't be any issues.

I want to say it will however, those are the wrong tire size IIRC. It should be 195/65/R15. This is just off the top of my head so it may not be accurate.

Also with those tires, you will see a 4% difference in your actual speed. If you're going 100 km/h, you're actually going 96 km/h...

Somebody else will confirm if I may be inaccurate..

EDIT: There you go. :)

That is great news as the P195/60/R15 winters were used one winter season on another vehicle that I sold to get the Mazda 3. It is good to know that the speed may be off a little and the current winter tires could be used for the new Mazda 3; and be cost effective.

Does that mean It won't rub or come into contact with the brakes on the new Mazda 3 Skyactive???

thank you Aris, I did check the paperwork and the size indicated is P195/60/R15 winterforce :)

thank you rzapata, 4Percent difference in actual speed. I'll keep in mind may seem to be going faster when actually going less km/hr.

so if the size is good that means no rub on the brakes and smoother drive with no friction.

you won't rub, or come into contact with the brakes. that all depends on the specifications of the rim itself, specially width and offset. i wouldn't worry though as I highly doubt you have rims that are 6" wide and +65 offset...

thank you for the response zzz3. I'm a little more at ease because putting the P195/60/R15 are only 15 inch rims and am glad that I could use them to be cost effective and safe in winter driving as having driven one season on my other car before selling it to get the new Skyactive which carries the 16 inch rims.

and no these winters are not even close to to eh 6" wide

It'll be interesting driving with the percentage difference this will be the first time experiencing.

if you have the tires on rims already, and its not too hard to access them, try them out see if they fit.

im not sure if the second gen is the same as the first gen but with the first gen, most steelies have the same specs and 15's did not clear the brake calipers.

also if you have smaller tires then your stock ones, your speed will be more on the speedometer then your actual speed.
