Hi guys :) I've had my Mazda3 for 2 weeks now, and like in any other cars I've owned, I've started to notice some problems. I get some rattles and stuff, but nothing that big, a vacuum kind of air coming from my belts :bang and it seems like something is stuck in the engine (haha) and does that bouncing noise on it, but ehh, it's used :) But the big problem I seem to get is when I'm shifting from 1-2 and 2-3 (a bit from 3-4 but less). It seems like if something that was rotating is slowing down and is noisy as hell. It also does it when I rev my car in neutral. I noticed that when I'm shifting, as soon as I hit the clutch it seems to stop. Looks like it's coming from the headers/under the center console ... Hopefully someone will know what could cause that ... :(

is it a rattling? whining? check your heat shield and bushing.

No, its not a rattle nor a whining, just like if something that was rotating very fast is slowing down ...

hmmmm, could be alternator noise, your tranny, anything, best bet is to take it in the a mechanic and have em look at it.

take it to jimmy... unless there is warranty then go to the dealer have them fix the problem

Just a heads up ! My problem seems to be the clutch release bearing .. Too bad I can't repair that without popping the tranny :(
