I got an '07 GT on 17's and want to get 16-inch steelies + winter tires next month. Is there a date when there's a Sale on these at Mazda dealerships?
I'm guessing four 16-inch steelies + winter tires + labor + HST tax = approx. $800 to $1000
I don't have time to drive to Toronto even though the sponsors here probably have great deals unfortunately.

Suggest you check some of the sponsors here. They will have a good selection if not better. Dealerships probably have winter packages already to go and there really is no date when they go on sale. They often have a few sets in back which can be purchased year round.

keep in mind the OP stated he does not have the time to drive to TO. I can see his ip address is located in Cornwall, so purchasing from a dealer may be the best option for him.
Another option - I know Simply Tire can and has shipped winter packages to customers before. May want to contact them..

Alright looks like the dealership it is.
The cost of gas to drive to Toronto and back would offset any savings anyways. lol

I would still suggest contacting Simply Tire as I suggested. They may be able to ship to you, for a total lower cost than the dealer.

Couldn't find anywhere there to order online. I could contact them and see.

Drive to Discount Tire in Port Huron, MI (http://www.discounttire.com) and you can save at least 50%. I buy all my tires and rims from them.

If the OP is in fact in Cornwall, that's a way worse drive than to T.O.
if you can drive to ny/vt or even nh, you can save a lot of money. i paid $320 all in for brand new general altimax arctics from nh, which go for $550~ from our sponsors. brand new steelies cost me $120 (can be bought from anywhere really).

Isn't Cornwall like towards Niagara region? I always thought it was.
Maybe I gotta break out a map of Ontario and figure it out that way. All I can tell you was the drive from Toronto to Buffalo and back for me saved me over $200 had I got those tires in that sizing at the time from even a local sponsor.
EDIT - just looked it up, I was wrong. Just take zzz3's advice and cross that boarder before you purchase a set of rubber - sans mexico run

oops.. my bad. i didn't realize he's in the east. discount tire has stores everywhere (watertown, ny would be close i guess). their website lists locations. i bought wheels from their store in laredo, texas: and then tires from dayton ohio... brought them over while trucking back in my transport truck. it was 2 times cheaper than buying in canada. no customs duties if you stay in usa for longer than 2 days.

they'll fit, but they are slightly smaller overall diameter.
Ideally you want 205-55-16

Huh?
Most tire shops south of the boarder offer storage for your old tires so you don't look like a fool crossing the boarder with them still in your car.
