wondering if anyone has picked one of these up?
I have a 05' and need the aux or usb for music, running out of space to store cds.
Just wondered if someone has used a Grom product before and if it's worth it? Also thinking of spending the extra $50 and grabbing the bluetooth so I can at least get my calls with no issues.
Not really bothered with the ipod, mainly the Aux and usb.
Thoughts welcome.

I have an older version of the Grom Ipod adapter. I think the newer versions are much better than mine. Decent product.

dope!
it provided good quality, or just ok for what it is? I was debating on fm transmitter, but said **** it. looks bulky too.
going to run the aux cable through the glove, so no cables are hanging when i'm not there then instal the usb above the coin holder, between the airbag sign and cig lighter. make it flush and clean there. going to contact grom, hoping it can charge, would be perfect for the phone!!!

An FM transmitter is not even on the same level. They are basically crap.
Mine has issues with newer ipods/iphones etc. Also, once in a while it would "freeze"/crash. I'm very happy with mine.

Haha yeah I know, but I need something else. can't stand radio, and my arm rest is full of cds.
Didn't think there'd be much issues with new versions of Ipod's but word to keep in mind.

I have bought the Grom Aux car adaptor back in 2009 and it was pretty good over the last 3 years of use. There's some small bugs but worked very well 99% of the time. Recently the Grom Aux adaptor did not work and caused my CD player to not function too.
I can't live without the iPod music so I order the Grom Aux adaptor and reused my iPod cable that you linked and it's definitely improved to work with my 1st iPod nano. Old version, when changing playlists it always start on song #1. New version, when changing playlists it continues from the last played song.
In terms of install, I have the iPod in the cig tray area and the USB adaptor through the centre console. All wires are hidden.

I have a GROM unit with the bluetooth that I bought for my old '06 that I'd be willing to part with. It's currently flashed with the NON-SAT firmware (no track names on LCD). The unit works well and charges an ipod/iphone. I did have the SAT firmware on it, but the controls lag a bit with that firmware. You can switch between the firmwares by just loading it up on a microSD card and popping it in. I really liked the unit, the bluetooth was actually pretty good.

There's a slot in the module for the microSD card. You unhook the power, put the card in, plug it in, and once the red LED stops flashing then it's done and you can take the card out. The GROM unit comes with it's own mic, I mounted it just on the outside right of the tach cluster, opposite the fuel gauge. Never had any complaints with the bluetooth. Sounded fine to me.
