Well, running shoes are done. Addidas running/cross trainers.
Looking for
Actual shoes (not the minimalist toe looking things haha)
Used only for running sidewalks, roads, very light trails/grass.
I am 25, 200lbs, athletic, and my knees have only been sore lately as the old shoes became more bagged out.
What do you guys use/suggest? Likely head out to the running room/shopping center end of the week.
Tks

Sorry meant to include that they will not be used for workouts, have another pair of c/t's for that.
Dedicated running shoes.

I think New Balance shoes are pretty popular.
Impressive

Asics 33 Series is awesome. Also I'd recommend the Zig-Tech line from Reebok as an alternative.

Not that simple to answer. I used to run 10k, & there is a lot more to a running shoe then just looks.
Do you over-pronate when you run, does your mid sole break down quickly then you need a Motion control running shoe. or do you under-pronate which you would then need a Neutral shoe, or do you need extra cushioning and some degree of stability, that would be a Stability shoe.
I needed a Neutral shoe while my wife needed a stability shoe. Best thing to is to head on over to the running room and let them asses your walk, they will then point you in the right direction. The right shoe makes all the difference.

this right here is important
I would recommend going to an actual store like the running room and talk to them, not a big box store, they will watch the way you walk and recommend the proper support shoe

I like new balance and asics. I can't wear nike or addidas or reebok. And all that pronation stuff is mostly BS anyway since the only way to properly correct it is with orthodic inserts or custom shoes.
