Does anyone else have this? One of my last squeaks/rattles that I am trying to tackle...Sounds like to metal rods are buzzing together at highway speeds...Drivers side door/footwell area...

Have been unable to identify where exactly it's coming from - anyone else experience this before?

SAME! Almost sounds like a pop can for me.
Annoying as hell!

I have a fear it is inside the door, window regulator perhaps. Really hoping someone else has experienced it

Mine is definately inside the door as well, I can hit the plastic with my palm/fist when I'm driving (near the bottom) and it doesn't effect it at all. i think its on the other side of the plastic weather shield. My Theory is its something rattling against the sheetmetal.

one day I'll take the door apart. My tint has faded horribly, I was contemplating doing it myself and removing all the windows to make it easier.

Is anyone brave enough to take the door card off and investigate? Its the worst. Its only on the highway do I hear it and pressing on the door doesnt affect it

I'll maybe do it this weekend. The door literally takes 5 minutes to disassemble. 5 more if you're removing the window.

The hard part will be driving, with my ear in the footwell, to find it. Mine only seems to do it on the highway.

If yours is more obvious (at idle?) then I vote we take your door panel off instead :-P its literally a 5 minute affair, although the first time its a bit stiffer. (she gets loose the more times you see her with her parts on the floor) :chuckle:

The funny thing is my passenger window has been broken THREE times... but no rattles from there. Only my driver side, lol.

Yeah, Its looking doubtful that I'll have time this weekend.

Solved by buzzing by shifting the tilt/telescopic steering wheel. I took the door apart and realized it wasn't coming from there. Readjusted the steering wheel and locked it in place, no buzzing sounds =/

Really? Hmmm interesting...Could you determine what was causing the buzzing though?

Update: I also adjusted the tilt/telescopic portion of the steering wheel in all its motions...no annoying sound on the highway anymore - not sure if related 100% but seems to have worked...

I got excited... Sadly, this wasn't my issue. It is definitely coming from my door. :-( I tried it for the heck of it though... to no avail.

We're making progress here!! No idea if that actually fixed it or not - give your wheel a shake sawatsky!
