Hi All,
My name is Jon and I'm from Australia! I have a 2010.5 Mazda 3 Hatch... called the Maxx sport! I'm wanting the fit the heated mirrors to my Mazda and I know this subject has been asked over and over here, but would appreciate any feedback! I pulled apart my drivers side mirror and noticed that there are 7-8 wires in the harness that lead up to the plug. I'm assuming two of the wires are for power and one for earth??? as to what the other 4-5 wires are for???
Would appreciate any feedback? I did try to add a picture to show the harness.... but the site wont allow to upload... :(
Cheers
Jon:)

You have to upload pics to an image hosting site like photobucket.com
Out of curiosity, where in Australia are you to want heated mirrors. I'm assuming close to New South Wales?

No problem.there is many other hosting sites, I just find photobucket the easiest to use.
I figured you'd have to be pretty south. Australia isn't really a place you associate with cold and snow. At least if I ever live my dream of moving there I can find a place with a season change like Canada. Lol.

That's true,
We do get loads of snow in the winter time here... and it's annoying not having heated mirrors! lol... It's a great place to live here!
I uploaded the pic to photobucket....

best thing to do is to get the UK spec mirrors
they are heated and plug right in
part numbers:
BBV4-69-12ZC right side w/power folding w/BSM w/turn signal
BCD3-69-12ZE right side w/o power folding w/o BSM w/o turn signal
BBV4-69-18ZC left side w/power folding w/BSM w/turn signal
BBW1-69-18ZC left side w/o power folding w/o BSM w/o turn signal
for power folding feature, you will need BEH4-66-350 power window/mirror switch.... a grey/blue wire must be present at the top centre terminal of the mirror connector for this to work

Thanks for the info TheMAN,
I'm in luck as my car has the blue/grey wire at the top centre terminal of the mirror connector (ref pic posted), I'll email a few places in the UK to see how much the mirrors are? as I just seen on Mazda's UK website that the base Model Mazda 3 has the Power folding, heated door mirrors...

Just one (silly) question? what does BSM mean? i.e- BBV4-69-12ZC right side w/power folding w/BSM w/turn signal

I tried googling that part number and came up with a bunch of links towards russian websites with no descriptoions and or pictures of the item. Would this be avilable here in N/A? If yes I woud be intersted in seeing this switch and where it is supposed to sit. any insight on this would be nice
