It's got big shoes to fill. Third installments usually end up as crap, see Spiderman 3 for reference. Let's hope they don't muck around with their formula. So far, all of Marvel's Cinematic universe movies are quite nice. The Avengers was a lot of fun.

I'm not too worried. Spiderman is done by Sony. Different studio and what Marvel is doing is setting up stage 2. Avengers ended stage 1. Its all about continuity right now and Joss Whedon has his hand in all of the upcoming marvel movies outside of those being done by Fox or Sony. For now

When Avengers 2 comes out in 2015, the following movies (Phase 2) will be leading to its story line. Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: Winter Soldier, Ant Man and Guardians of the Galaxy. For comic book fans, this is a dream come true. I read these comics in elementary school and to actually see them on screen and done with such high quality and care, I couldn't ask for anything more from Marvel. But when they added Thanos at the end of the avengers, that pretty much sealed the deal on Phase 2.
