so after reading a couple threads about the pass airbag light going off since i had hit the connections under the seat from vacuuming it came and gone over the fall and now into winter stayed on all the time...being a lazy person i finally got my OBD scanner out and it wouldn't read the codes, must be serious eh. i went for an oil change at my local garage and they got B1050 B1004F
Pass side airbag sensor and the crash sensor was going off. weird eh

guys took off the pillar and seat belt to reveal this, it was resting right on top of the sensor/wired connection

guess in the factory the sheet metal didn't get cut all the way and this also explains the annoying clickity noise i hear (mostly in the summer) from that side of the car.
is it worth calling Mazda and letting them know about this, has anybody else seen this before?

interesting, never seen it before but I have seen some weird things from the factory and I wouldnt worry to much about it. This would not cause your airbag light to come on unless it rubbed through the wires and created a short. Which probably would have resulted in more permanent results lol
