as the above diagram points out, the S3 is still better. Only thing Nexus 4 seems to have going for it is the newest vanilla OS

All unlocked.
The 'flaws' of the N4 are probably the non-removable battery, the lack of a micro-sd card slot and the lack of LTE. Of course, there are reasons behind the micro-sd (Google has always been promoting the use of the cloud infrastructure, and the lack of LTE mainly because the N4 is a global world phone). Of course, this is reflected in the pretty insane pricing.
Nexus 4 8GB - $309
Nexus 4 16GB - $359
Nexus 7 8 GB - discontinued
Nexus 7 16 GB - $209
Nexus 7 32 GB - $259
Nexus 7 32 GB HSPA+ - $309
Nexus 10 16 GB - $409
Nexus 10 32 GB - $509

No LTE?
If "Smoked" means fail, then you're right.

LOL! Yeah, those prices are MSRP from the Google Play Store.
I like my Galaxy Nexus on JB 4.1.2, but I'm tempted to upgrade, even though I'm happy with my current phone (1 year old, for cell phones that a long time). Lack of LTE ain't really a killer reason, I mean the extra speed is nice, but when most of us only have limited wireless bandwidth (and speed caps thereafter), do we really need to download movies on the go? I don't doubt that LTE is the future, but adding LTE wasn't on Google's agenda for this specific phone.

Probably going to stick with galaxy nexus....getting 4.2 in mid November (if you are running the Google ROM instead of the default ROM that comes with most Canadian nexuses) so there's not much difference

Did i read that right? Non-removable battery pack? Why is LG taking a step backwards?

Just grabbed the HTC One X... Pretty sweet so far.
No offense, but why do people care about whether a battery is removable or not? No one takes two batteries along for the trip... Phones are constantly being updated, people rarely hold onto phones long enough for the batteries to naturally fail. In Apple's case, if a battery fails, you swap it out for a new one (If not under warranty, it costs you $80, including labour). Lack of removable battery doesn't really impact anyone. People just like to point it out, even though it doesn't affect them...
By not making a battery removable, you can make a device thinner.. I'd take thinner over easy to replace battery. (It isn't like the case is welded shut).
Also, Nexus 10 has a beautiful screen... Just think about how great all those Android phone applications will look stretched out over that retina resolution. ;)

i disagree
these devices nowadays eat up a lot of power. sometime find somewhere to charge and/or waiting for it to charge is a problem. changing a battery takes a few seconds.
with more apps, and faster chips with more cores... the biggest thing that will hold them back is power. battery/charging technology has not kept up and is/will be the weakest link
Do you actually do this? I just ensure I have places to charge my phone. Since my phone is the center of my entertainment world inside my car, when I plug in my phone to access my music, Internet connection, etc, the phone gets charged. Even if I don't, my phone generally lasts the full day (iPhone), so I don't really think about the battery as often as some other folks might. If carrying two batteries is such a huge necessity, just get one of those charging jackets/cases... Or one of the many Android devices that let you do that.

i don't carry extra batteries since i usually have another phone with me anyways.
im just saying a removable battery is a good thing to have and a legit selling point. having a thinner/lighter phone is also a selling point though and ultimately its up to the buyer to decide if either point is important enough to sway their decision. some of these phones are pricey and the batteries don't charge as much over time either.
think of it like a car... they cost a lot and to get the value of them, many people hold them for years. imagine if we couldn't change our car batteries. i've had my phone over a year now and the battery is getting wonky. i can go get a new battery for 40 or half of what your apple battery change would cost... now multiple this 2-3 times over a few years perhaps. im not saying its better, just different and a legit option... its just a matter of trade-offs
I know what you're saying, and you're right it is up to the potential buyer. I suppose for me it doesn't matter much because I upgrade my phones max every 2 years and my battery is usually fine still. Mind you, if you want a cheap battery, you can find them. For example: eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Original-Apple-iPhone-4-4G-Replacement-Battery-3-7V-1420mAh-USA-NEW-/221065536107?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item337888626b). That one costs $5.. Would I throw that in my iPhone? Only if I want to wake up to a burning house. :) Swapping batteries is ALWAYS possible, even cheaply, but unless you NEED to swap batteries daily/quickly, I don't think it's a huge deal... Swapping an Iphone battery probably takes less time then a car battery IMO.
On a side note, I just watched a Windows Phone 8 video, hoping I would like the interface... Might be my only way to try one of those cool Samsung phones.

All phones can have their battery replaced, It is actually required to have the battery removable/replaceable. Now not all phones have the battery swapable. But I guess some phones eat through battery's fast that you need to have that option. I know my friend carries around batteries for his android because they don't even last half a day.
