Hi ...Does anyone know what the 2011/12 Mazda 3 skyactiv sedan wheel offset is?

On your skyactiv it's 50 offset

I have the opportunity to get the mazdaspeed 3 wheels to sit on my skyactiv but I'm not sure if they will fit ok...its not lowered ...what do ya think...its a white skyactiv sedan...do ya think they will suit the car?

They'd fit for sure. There are some Gen II sedans/hatches that run Speed wheels, look good.

all 5 bolt mazda wheels are interchangeable with your skyactiv or any 3 for that matter. there are a few caveats such as 15" rx7's, which will only fit on 2.0 MZR/Skyactiv as well as needing either 3mm spacers or boring.

How can we determine which by the VIN?

I assume Joe would be looking it up in the system to reference what wheels your car had.

You could always pull a wheel off and check the markings, should be stamped on the back I believe.

My use of the word "we" was intended to indicate that I am asking for a way to determine that without having somebody (like yourself) query the Mazda DB.

For example, if Mazda switched to a different offset wheels at a specific point in time, we could probably tell by the production sequence number range.

On the other hand, if Mazda just used different offset wheels on random vehicles (due to inventory shortages or suchlike) then the above approach will be useless.
However, it would seem to indicate that both offsets (and anything in-between) are fine for the models -- a useful piece of information.

Don't get me wrong. I do appreciate your willingness to help!
It's just that I was looking at it from a "teach a man to fish" angle.

I should say it depends on the vehicle production date that will determine the offset.

It actually explains why I keep seeing 3 different offset numbers (link (http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?42630-The-thread-to-end-all-quot-will-this-Manufacturer-wheel-fit-my-Mazda3-quot-threads&p=1019648&viewfull=1#post1019648)).

So the 2.0L 3 can have +45, +50 or +52.5 offsets on stock rims.
I wonder what would be the min/max range then.

Looks like +45 is only on the 17s, so only for GTs.

Min/max depends on a lot of factors, including your love/hate of your fenders.

Joe is correct, some have +45 and some have +50

the 17" OEM wheels and 18" wheels are +52.5 offset

Then why do you care what the stock offset is? You're wondering about a 2mm difference. Whether we're discussing offset or penis size, 2mm doesn't matter. Plus you're looking at MS3 rims, which have been proven to fit just fine many times over.

Unless there is a good answer I'm closing this baby as it seems pointless.
