ok, so i've spent 2-3 hours today trying to get the HID reverse light kit I got from G16 to work. Everything seems pretty straightforward and plug-and-play except for one major thing: the wires from the two bulbs dont have the connectors pre-attached like alot of kits ive seen. I managed to get the red wire (positive) to go into the connector but I cant for the life of me get the blue wire (negative I assume) to go into the connector properly. Anyone know how to get it in? Please let me know as this is the only thing thats preventing it from getting done. If this were pre-connected this whole install would have been 30 mins max! i've tried searching google and youtube but no one has this particle step covered cause it should have come assembled!! no instructions as well!! :bang

here's a pic of whats included in the kit:

Please help! Thanks!

It usually locks in when you put enough pressure. I don't remember how I did it you just have to look at it. Look in the hole you'll see something that locks the wire in place. If you need help I can help you whenever I'm in the area. I don't know how you can't get it I hooked it up in minutes lol

They're supposed to come like that, it saves them from having to make a bunch of different kits. Instead they make one and supply multiple connectors.

However, don't connect anything yet, you need to change the orange piece that holds the bulbs, The one that comes pre-attached is not the right size for our cars.

Trulankan, shoot me a pm and I'll help you install them.

ok so i've installed the HIDs for the reverse with the help of Dave and Jimmy but for some reason only one of the lights will work at a time (either left or right). If both bulbs are connected neither of them will light up. Any idea why this would be happening? do i really have to run a relay to get it working?

i installed the 15W HID reverse kit i got from eBay today and it works great!! I haven't tried it outside my parking garage yet but the light output is substantially better than stock and the LEDs i've tried. only con would be that it takes about 10s for it to reach full brightness but I dont mind really. I will post up outdoor pics when I get a chance to.

Next, hids for the cabin lighting. Then hids for gauge lighting and for the dash lighting. A lot of lighting options still open for hids.

Great job on the install.

But 10 seconds is aong time to be in reverse. One of the reasons I'd prefer LED reverse lights.

Of course I am kidding... LOL. Can you imagine your dash signal indicators being a bright HID lamp? It would be like having a camera flash going off in your face every time you signal.

Maybe Hollywood stars would go for it. They're used to constant camera flashing.
