Hey guys,

I am looking into buying a HU for my 2010 Mazda 3 and I have been doing some research and so far the best one's I can find are either from enonon or qualir. So I am asking the community if anyone has bought from them. If so, what is your experience with their HU's? How is the quality and would you recommend it?

I am currently undecided but have narrowed it down to 3 HU's (from eonon/qualir). If these sites are not recommended or the quality is crap, then I was also looking at Future Shop.

I have a qualir unit, and am satisfied with it. Several others users also have Qualir as we did a GB for there units.

Which one did you specifically buy? Did you install it yourself?

The specific model I purchased has been changed, but I bought the one with bluetooth, ipod support, for the 2010 with tech/bose package .
I had Audio Heaven install for me as I was also having amplifiers and speakers installed. The unit itself is a fairly simple install.

Thanks Seshan!

I have come to a conclusion not to buy any HU's from Eonon or Qualir.

I know several people who have Qualir units, and I have not come across any significant issues.

May not necessarily be comparible, but I have the Eonon unit for an 08. It's not bad, just a few quirks, but it's still a decent unit. The 2010+ units have new software to it.

Fast to respond support, but doesn't always answer your question. Get a lot of "our technicians will look into that problem and get back to you." But they never resolve anything fast... there's a thread about these units at mazda3forums.com, and Eonon actually posts there too.

Care to tell why? Too many people having problems? It is interesting that in all posts I read no one talks about sound quality.

If you read the article from the link Seshan posted, you will see that there are numerous people who are having issues with the Eonon HU's. Also from the posts I read, it was a hit or miss in audio quality (especially if you are using bluetooth)

If you find a good HU, please let me know, as I am looking for one too.

EONON D-5115Z
This is a new product from them and being a new product, there appears to be some issues that they are trying to resolve.
This product is for the 2010 to 2012 model years.
Build is fairly decent, looks good and generally functions well.
Sound quality would be OK but for a problem with the signal fading in and out on the FM band. This sounds like the high frequency content fading in and out. Also there appears to be a lot of static even on strong signals possibly an issue with built up city areas.
Several of us have this issue along with the CD is stuck in the unit.
The RDS, song and station information is often nonsense text.
In fairness to Eonon, they have responded to the issues and trying to sort it out.
I would wait until these issues are resolved.
