So yeah i've had this intermittant problem with the car, sometimes it will drive super smooth for weeks and some other times, il take the car and try to shift like always and it is hard to go from first to second gear, not super hard, but hard enough that it makes me ''fu**'' my shifting sequence.
So now, I know I should go to dealer, already went once but they found nothing and I don't want to keep going there and having to pay for the car to get checked if they cant find anything, the car is still under warranty... I also had a friend of mine try the car and he confirmed with me that this wasn't normal... What are the possibilitys? since it is intermittant, could it be syncros, forks or something else?
Oh and by the way it is a Mazda 3 Sport 2010 GT 2.5

Perhaps you should mention if you're driving an automatic or standard.
Anyway, what's the mileage on the car? Have you tried doing a transmission fluid flush?

Are the hard shifts during cold weather? if so, try letting the car warm up a bit prior to driving. I was having a similar issue, and letting the car warm up for a bit fixed the problem

also if the car has 80 000 km and never had the tranny fluid changed that would be a good start.

It is manual, and I have 118 000 KM on it, I was thinking about doing a tranny flush, but what type of oil would be better than OEM?

Tranny flush, could also be a sign of a bad motor mount.
a lot of members are using Redline transmission fluid

im very happy with my motul in my car. almost coming up for a change. and then in the gfs we put the ford snycro mesh i think it was. also very good. but yea if you never have changed it.. should have been done about twice. or every 2 years/ 48,000km. so could be wellll over due. but yes could also be a bad motor mount ( didnt even think of that) could be a tranny syncro. or clutch on its way out.

You are out of powertrain warranty above 100000 km...unless you have MAP extended warranty?
I would do the fluid change...to synthetic and take it from there.

yeah i have a extended warranty, I will do a transmission fluid change with synthetic, but I had manual cars before and NEVER changed transmission fluid, and If the fluid would be the problem, isnt weird that it only affects one gear and not all 6?

.. surprising to hear your prior cars never had the trans fluid changed... but anyway. average auto 3 years / 60,000km. or the manual 2 years 48,000km. soo you are wayy over due. that and yes interesting it could only be 2nd. but there could be debris in the fluid causing any and all sorts of issues. if you take to a dealer however.. be interesting to see what they say when looking at the old fluid if youd be covered under warranty for it. if it was ever advised to do and declined. or if you do it and then go see them about coverage and they ask why its brand new fluid and when your problem started. soo many possibilities. :P check with your dealer and id say start with an inspection for warranty if its covered, and the quality of the fluid.

Please scan and show me/us where it says in the maintenance schedule for MT's that the fluid change interval is 2 years or 48,000kms. I have no idea where you got that crazy interval from, but that's waaaay too short for a manual trans.
The OP should just change the fluid as suggested. The synthetic is infinitely better than the stock fluid.

atleast ur not grinding 2nd gear every time you shift yet because of a bad synchro. :D

redline ? what viscosity?
Is there a better alternative or that is the best choice of transmission oil I can use?
