I assume you want it wired so that when your dash lights, and subsequently, your low beams, come on, they come on also.
It would be as simple as finding the fuse that controls the dash lights, or the low beams.
Which, after a bit of research, would be fuse 32,33 or 34. RH Low, LH Low, Dashboard respectively. The problem for you, is that those are located in the engine bay.

So, my advice, get real confident, drill through your fire wall; or have someone else do it; or forget about it.

I would say tap into the rear tail-light fuse then, that will come one when your low beams are on, and that fuse is on the inside panel

Maybe in the first gen, but it's #35 in the engine bay on the second gen if I found the one you're thinking of.

Btw is there a switch I can buy for my cupholder light so it's not on all the time?

I set mine up so they come one when the map/dome lights come on, I can also turn them on or off by the use to the switch by the map lights. I just took the negative from the map lights and ran a wire down then used a add a circuit and took power from the cig fuse. You would probably get annoyed by the foot well lights if they where on all the time, that's why I did it this way.

Yup, circuit city has them.

I don't notice them at all, and I have them in all my doors + footwells + cup holder

good to know, yeah I was going off first gen knowledge, that is where I tapped my boost gauge to go amber when the lights are on

why not get a three-way switch, and connect your footwells and cupholder together ?!
