So you did finally buy the car. Guess I can close your other thread. I haven't heard of many problems around here with the new 6 speed yet.

Sadly you never mentioned a manual would have been okay...

Oh well...

the SkyActiv-MT had various production changes since September 2011...
5th gear was revised first, then it was 3rd gear... 2nd gear was revised twice earlier this year, and 4th gear was revised a couple of times this year, the latest was in August
the 3-4, and 5-6 synchro assemblies were also redesigned during the same time period
the case has been redesigned several times also, the breather has been redesigned, and the 5-6 shift fork has been redesigned since August 2011
No changes have been made in the shifter related parts

there is less of a chance you will encounter any problems now that this transmission is in its 2nd year production

ive have a 'squishy' feeling sometimes when going into 1st and 3rd. Sometimes it will feel hesitant and ill have to push a little harder to get it into its gate. it doesn't bother me much because it doesn't happen very often, but when it does it can be a bitch. Still an amazing car and am very pleased with the car as im sure you will be too.

Wow..so many changes already. This is exactly why you always wait for the 2nd or 3rd year of a new generation (with new engine/drive train etc). The same would apple for Skyactive-D when it hits NA soil as well.

the thing is, by the time the diesel arrives, it'll be more than a year into production... we should have most of the bugs worked out, except for maybe the emissions monitoring BS
