Hey im looking at getting this sub:
http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/mtx-mtx-12-vented-subwoofer-enclosure-with-amp-tnp112d2-tnp112d2/10179903.aspx?path=59bd7fd3a98d8d411fa6f2735dbd5fa aen02
any thoughts on this would it pump good or is this a bad deal?
I am also looking at keeping my stock head unit because of its Bluetooth capabilities how would this be possible to run the amp to the stock head unit and ajust the bass on only the sub ? thanks

You will need an amp as well as a sub, as well as a Line-Out-Converter to grab the bass from your rear speakers.

It'll kick cause its a 12, but I can't say it would be anything spectacular.. 200$ is a good deal for sure though for the extra kickin'
I would say it would be good for the normal everyday user :)

The LOC has the RCA hook ups for the amp. I bought mine from Futureshop and it cost about 50$. Pick up his as it only uses the signal from the front/rear speakers to power it and then it connects your amp wiring to produce the bass signal. It will keep the stock HU and you can use whatever setup for the amp/sub. It looks like a nice deal. I myself bought a 10" MTX Thunder sub with a Alpine 500Watt Mono Amp. Haven't hooked anything up but I'm thinking about finding a place to install since I have everything to hook it up now for over a year. Let me know where you go for installation as I would like to know if the place does a good job.

Also, someone should put this out there, loud cars don't impress girls, just draws more attention from other dudes.

This sub doesn't kick as loud as you'd think. The amp isn't the greatest. But its a great value for sure.
The amp has a built in LOC, if I remember correctly it even comes with the high level cable. You do need to still find an accessory to turn the amp on because it doesn't do signal sensing.
If you went with the dual 12s it comes with the Bass Knob so you can easier control the bass.
