mazda 3 gx car seems to lurch forward when i slightly touch gas pedal

i have a mazda 3 when i was driving the other day i stopped at a red light, when the light went green i gently touched the gas pedal and the next thing i knew my car lurched forward and accelerated like crazy, anyone else have this problem, i cant believe how fast it lurched forward like it did, if you have had thid problem please let me know here or at bonjovibabe79@hotmail.ca would appreciate it, thanks

its happened a couple of times to me as well. you have to be careful when accelerating sometimes and watch your foot. its a peppy car for city driving, not so much on the highway lol
