Hi i have a seller trying to telling me i need to get the can bus ballast because the 2nd gen Mazda 3 2010+ will show a headlight error on the dash is this true or is he just trying to sell me a higher end product ? this would be for H11 low beam

You need a ballast for HID's. End of story.

I know I need a balast but He says for the 2nd gen 3s i need to get the upgraded balast that has a built in error canceler (CANBUS) because it will show a burnt headlight error do I need this kind of balast or is he just trying to up sell me

The CANBUS system is usually found on Euro cars like VW, Volvo, etc. The Mazda3s aren't equipped with this system and thus you won't have an issue installing HIDs.

Yep, can confirm I used a regular HID ballast in my kit.

all 3s have canbus, but they don't have any bulb checker systems
