it could be though...my first thought is that I was pretty sure golden eagles weren't overly common in Montreal.

But turns out they are in this area although tend to more mountainous regions. But they are crazy stong and have gone after bigger things than babies...Watch this

It can "pick up" the goat, not because it's so much strong, but it's more or so that the eagle is going down with the goat... Had that not been a cliff, that eagle likely would have dropped the goat.

doesnt seem to be "carrying" or "lifting" anything larger than itself. but it does seem to grab and glide instead. but anything smaller than itself it seems very capable of lifting and flying away with it. not sure if its just shorts bursts though...cant imagine them catching something theyre own size and flying back to its nest. but i guess anything is possible, we get jumbo jets in the air. looks like they kill theyre prey on the ground too and just end up taking what they need. not taking the whole thing.
