So i have very minimal knowledge when it comes to cars, so i could never try and install HID lights...so my question is, how much is that install?
And second, i've seen people who put LED lights on their door handles and inside as mood lighting...what are they costs involved in that?
Any good shops in Toronto who will install for a decent price? Being a student and working part time leaves me with a small budget.

interior LED lighting (excluding footwells) is very easy to do and is just a matter of replacing a bulb with the LED one. It costed about $20 to replace the map and dome lights in my car and the install was like 5 minutes. Footwell lighting is a bit more tricky as you have to hook it up with the electrical system but it shouldnt be too bad either.

Thanks Trulankan! I hadn't thought about putting LED lights on the map/dome lights! Where did you purchase them?
Any idea on how to get them on the outside door handles? Or is that sort of stupid? I saw a car drive by with their handles lit, i thought it looked pretty interesting. I think it's just a strip of LED lights...

I wouldn't put them at the handles. Sounds dumb IMO. but if you really want to you could tap a power source. Run the LEDs to the outside and stick them on. Again it seems tough for what I think would look dumb. Keep in mind though, I have never seen them.
Search puddle lights. Could do something like that but place the leds elsewhere.
Also. Hids are very basic to install. Check YouTube. There is a video walk through.

HIDs are easy, if you can change a headlight bulb you can put HIDs in. Took me 15 mins to do, I have never done either before. You can get LEDs for the map lights pretty cheap, I got 10x 6 5050 SMD LEDs for $9 from eBay. I also put blue LED strip lights under the foot wells and back seats, cost of that was probably around $20 and I still have more LED strips lights left after that. I also put in blue LED Mazda 3 scuff plates. The entire inside of my car is lit blue. :P

I've been doing some bit of research on the internet and there are some sites that say the Plug and play install sets aren't "disrespectful" to other drivers because they are overly bright. They say that you need to retrofit the reflectors.
What is everyone's opinion about that? Is it true? I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death before, but i couldn't find it in past posts.

put them in the low beam projectors. the projectors gives a cut off below on coming traffic. this reduces glare to other people. no need to retofit unless you seeking out maximum light output from your headlights.

Hey guys,
I had a headlight burn out on my Gen1 MS3, and it's $250 for one bulb, which I am not paying. I have a friend with an STI with the same situation, except those come with HIDs, he found a source on eBay that has good(ish) quality lights.
So my question...since we do not have HIDs on the MS3 would any 9006 bulb be sufficient to replace the burnt out bulb?
This was the source he's used for himself and a few of our friends who have replaced lights. These were the lights I was interested in (6000k)

Or can anyone direct me to somewhere I can get a good 6000k replacement bulb??
