Odd noise coming from dashboard

Yesterday on my way home from work I could hear a wierd noise in my car. I couldn`t pin point the location. Thought I was losing my mind. :loco
Then this morning on my way to work I could hear that same noise again. It seems to be coming from behind the centre of the dashboard. It lasted about 2 minutes then stopped. A minute later it started again for about 30 seconds then stopped. Never happened again before I got to work. To me it sounds like static popping. I was able to record a video of it this morning. Just wondering if anyone else has witnessed this?

Sounds like you might have something in your vents. Did you try it with the fan off or at various fan speeds?

sounds like a leaf stuck in the blower

Remove your cabin air filters and vacuum out that area. Leaves and debris get caught in there. Replace the filters if your ride is about 2 years old or 35 to 40,000km.

yea it does sound like leaves near the filter. or at least very similar. i would check there first.
