I hear rattling(ticks) noise from my car's rear when going over any uneven surface, acceleration, deceleration, and doing quick turns since last October. It is temperature sensitive, usually happens in cold morning when I just start to drive the car and it disappears in 5-10 mins. The tick doesnt sound metallic and is possibly from rear quarter panels(C column). It caught my attention recently because it was getting worse and worse, it was getting louder and lasting longer than before. It even happens when temperature is not that low(Like today,6 degree).
Anyone know how to solve the issue??
Thanks,
Chris

Probably just from the cold, either the suspension or maybe the sway bar. If its not doing it when the car is warmed up then its probably fine.

From experience, the car will make different noises when cold and things might improve once you are warmed up and driving for a while (30min+). Also, it might not be getting worse, but you might be thinking more about it... common thing.
It could be the plastic overlay behind the rear head rests, and that's common on many cars I have driven, especially in winter.
Good luck but be patient with diagnosis. Winter isn't the kindest thing to you car.

Sorry for my delayed response, I thought the system would email me when I got new post on my thread...
I took it to my dealer and they reworked the back shelf and lubricated the joints but the noise persisted....( and they damaged the panel, left a small crack on it... damn!) I got another appointment this Thursday hopefully they can solve it. Other wise I ll just live with it...

hope you told a service advisor or the service manager.. get that panel replaced if the tech broke it.

It s not a big issue for now but I ll ask them to record it in service history. Just in case.
